Hi,I am trying to debug a 7 port 812 hub.I am having random results with my drives being recognized and am wondering if it is a firmware issue or a power issue.I am trying to run 4 WD external hard drives(3 usb 3.0 and 1 usb 2.0). All 4 drives are powered via USB.I also have a Mimo 710 plugged into the hub.I am wondering if I am simply trying to draw too much power and if so what would you suggest? Maybe daisy chain a couple 4 port hubs instead?Would simply upgrading to the USB3-HUB7A USB 3.0 SuperSpeed 7 Port Hub in Brushed Aluminum (VIA VL812 chip) solve the issue?I am running this on a mac pro retina.Thanks,Mike. Hi Mike-Thanks for posting with your question! There is a good chance this is a power issue, however it could also be firmware related. The best way to test for whether an issue is power related is to try adding one device at a time, and see if there is some threshold where adding another device starts causing problems. The output from our support tool, PlugDebug (specifically, so I can check what firmware is on your hub), would be necessary for me to advise on whether these issues are likely to be firmware related and thus whether the Aluminum hub is likely to help (both units use the same power supply, so if it is power related it would definitely NOT help). If you can please mail this to I’ll be happy to review and advise.Best wishes-Jeff EverettPlugable Technologies.Ahsan Iqbal.

It simply just reads it as some device trying to charge some device. So i am wondering why i am not able to connect. Do i need to buy only plugable usb to hdmi adapters or usb to vga adapters to work with this hub?.
